Terms of sale
The terms that apply when you buy from moonie.skin. Plain English where possible, Irish law throughout.
Last updated: 3 July 2026
1. Who you're buying from
This website is operated by Moonie Skin, registered in Ireland, company number [COMPANY NUMBER], registered address [REGISTERED ADDRESS](“Moonie”, “we”, “us”). You can reach us at hello@moonie.skin. By placing an order you agree to these terms; they don't affect your statutory rights as a consumer, which always apply.
2. Prices & VAT
- All prices are shown in euro (EUR) and include VAT where applicable. [NOTE: VAT registration pending — confirm VAT number and inclusive pricing with the accountant before launch.]
- Delivery charges are shown separately at checkout before you pay.
- For deliveries outside the EU, local import duties and taxes may be charged by your country and are your responsibility.
- If a price is obviously wrong (a clear error), we may cancel the order and refund you in full before dispatch.
3. Ordering & payment
Your order is an offer to buy; a contract is formed when we send your order confirmation email. Payment is taken at checkout and is handled securely by Stripe— we accept the major credit and debit cards plus Apple Pay and Google Pay where available. Your card details are processed by Stripe and never touch our servers. If an item turns out to be unavailable after you order, we'll tell you promptly and refund it in full.
4. Delivery
We dispatch from our studio in Ireland within 1–2 working days, and every parcel is tracked by DHL. Current zones and prices — Ireland €4.95 standard (free over €50) or €9.95 next-day express, UK & Europe €12.95, rest of world €19.95 — with estimated delivery times are kept up to date on our shipping & returns page; exact options for your address are shown at checkout. Unless agreed otherwise we deliver within 30 days of your order. Risk in the products passes to you on delivery; ownership passes when we receive payment in full.
5. Cancellation & returns
Two protections apply, and you get the better of the two — your statutory EU cancellation right, plus our own longer guarantee:
- Statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. Under the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013, you may cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of delivery, without giving a reason. Tell us within that window (an email to hello@moonie.skin is enough, or use the model cancellation wording in the Regulations) and return the products within 14 days of telling us. We refund the full price plus standard delivery (not any express upgrade) within 14 days of receiving the goods back or proof of postage, to your original payment method. You cover return postage. You may inspect the products as you would in a shop; we may reduce the refund for handling that goes beyond that — though in practice our 30-day guarantee below is more generous.
- Our voluntary 30-day money-back guarantee. On top of the statutory right, every order is covered for 30 days from delivery— even if you've opened and used the products. Skin is personal; if a formula isn't right, email us with your order number and we'll arrange a return and refund the product price to your original payment method. Return postage for a change of mind is your cost. Full details are on shipping & returns. This guarantee is extra — it never reduces your statutory rights, and during the first 14 days the statutory terms above apply if they're better for you.
6. Faulty or incorrect goods
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 (and the Sale of Goods Acts), everything we sell must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If a product arrives damaged, faulty or isn't what you ordered, contact us and we'll put it right at no cost to you — a repair, replacement or full refund, including all postage. These rights are separate from, and unaffected by, the returns policy above.
7. Using our products
Our formulas are cosmetic products for external use. Please read the label and ingredients before use, patch-test new products, and stop use if irritation occurs. Product information on this site is not medical advice — for skin conditions, talk to a pharmacist or GP.
8. Our liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded under Irish law — including your statutory consumer rights. Otherwise, we are responsible for loss that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms, and our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for business losses; we sell for private use only.
9. General
- These terms are governed by Irish law, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction — though as a consumer in the EU you may also rely on the mandatory protections, and bring proceedings in the courts, of the country you live in.
- If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest still applies.
- We may update these terms from time to time; the version on this page when you order is the one that applies to your order.
- Complaints? Email us first — we resolve almost everything directly. You can also contact the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) for guidance on your rights.
